Motivational Monday: You've Got This!
Sometimes all you need is a little faith in yourself because really, you've got this! Print this out to see and remind yourself, or just share it around to help motivate others (it's not just for Mondays either because sometimes we could use a little reminder to keep the momentum going at any point in the week....amiright?)
Four Favorite Father's Day Printables
Sometimes I'm not as prepared for Father's Day as I should be. Which is actually ok, because there are some seriously awesome gift ideas out there, so even when I don't come up with something original, I can still give an awesome gift. These are my four favorite Father's Day Printables: 1- Cupcake and brownie burgers with a side of cookie fries, with instructions and free printables from Bakerella. 2- Father's Day Star Wars mega themed gift pack, with 12 free pages of printables from Sandy Toes and Popsicles. 3- Super Hero gift box for the super man of the...
Six Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas
The end of the school year is heading our way and we've really enjoyed our teachers so we want to show our appreciation. But creative ideas just weren't flowing in the way of teacher appreciation gifts, so I decided to see what other people have done. These are my six favorite gift ideas: This is an adorable bucket from Simply Organized. In the post she even lists what she put inside and how she made it. My favorite part is that flower pinwheel that apparently only cost a $1.50. I know this one says "swim teacher" but I like the...
things of Pinterest: snowflakes
It's winter. That's pretty much all that's going on now that the holidays are over. And so, blech, winter. But snow can be fun, I guess if you try really hard. Personally, I think snow is evil, but that's no reason not to do some snow-y crafts - ideas thanks to the awesome that is Pinterest. http://deliacreates.blogspot.com/2011/01/snowman-pizza-and-dough-recipe.html We've already tried a snowman pizza like this. I even took pictures, but then my dough went into super rise mode and it ended up being a very blobby/fluffy/crazy snowman, so you won't be seeing those pictures. The kids really liked eating it...
Things of Pinterest
Fall colors are tons of fun, so why not gather some of the fallen leaves and do something with them? I found a lot of great leafy ideas on pinterest: http://www.kokokokids.ru/2011/09/fall-leaves-craft-ideas.html I love this leaf animal - and there are so many other great animals to make too. The best part is - you can gather all the supplies (leaves) on a brisk autumn walk. http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/foliage-friends-671141/ Or if you don't want to make a whole picture out of leaves, why not throw them in with some doodles? Regular doodling is fun, but doodling with leaves - WAY MORE FUN. http://www.themotherhuddle.com/leaf-creatures-leafin-the-fun-to-the-kids/...
